The Brattleboro Senior Center has been the home of the Brattleboro Senior Meals program since 1978. Prior to that, Senior meals were served out of Holton Memorial of the First Baptist Church.
The Brattleboro Senior Center is located on the lower level of the Gibson Aiken building at 207 Main Street. The hours are 9AM to 4PM Monday through Thursday and 9AM to 1PM on Friday. Offices for Activities Director and Brattleboro Senior Meals are located in the Center. The Center has a large dining area that will seat up to 150 people for lunch. This space sometimes doubles as an area for exercise or dance. A cable television is located in the Reception area with comfortable seating for informal gatherings. In addition, there are three rooms off of the dining room that are used for other activities including crafts, card and board games, pool, puzzles, tax assistance, meetings, health screenings, socializing, cooking classes and exercise. There are three computers available for Senior use. The Senior Center will also utilize other rooms in the Gibson Aiken Building for activities.
