Meals on Wheels Volunteers
Brattleboro Senior Meals “employs” many volunteers in many different capacities. The service that we provide to seniors is dependent on the dedication of our 150 volunteers.
Most volunteers help one or two days a week for several hours. Volunteers help with food preparation, food serving, dishwashing, meal delivery, food distribution, reception, and money handling. They serve on our board of directors, run errands, fundraise and promote our programs.
Meal drivers are needed on all days of the week. All deliveries are completed between 10:15 and 12:30. We are also looking for meal packers in the kitchen for all days of the week. This volunteer opportunity takes 2 hours and requires being able to stand and work closely with one other person in our kitchen. The hours are 9 AM to 11 AM.
Substitute Meal Drivers
All deliveries start around 10:15 AM from the Senior Center and take about 40 minutes- 1 hour.
